It is the forth time we are exhibiting at the Interschutz but every time is a exciting challenge. With planning, smoking heads and meetings with our stand builder we started the fair many weeks before.
How shall the stand at the exhibition look like, which articles shall we present and what do we want to sell in the store area? There are so many things we have to remember but then the time has come, the suitcases are packed and we start.
The stand builder team starts at Wednesday, 03 June with building the rescue-tec stand. The rescue-tec team arrives in Hannover at the weekend. When we see them first, the stand dimensions overwhelm us. On paper the 170 m² seemed not so large.
After the stand handover our team starts to place in the products. Here and there things have to be optimised but the store area is finished, the technology works and Sunday evening we are ready to start.
Monday morning 9: 00 a.m. the doors open. We are all a little bit exited. Very fast all employees are in consultation sessions.
The interest in our holsters, bags ans backpacks is enormous, but also in b.a. control boards or the new training articles. The visitors have a lot of new ideas, suggestions and optimising ideas.
The first days passed by very quickly. Wednesday evening, halt time at the exhibition, we have a good meal and take time to draw up a small but very positive interim balance. In former years still even the Interschutz beginning was calmer and less visited. This year it isn’t so. We’ve got our hands full consistently, although we are even more employees at the stand.
We also recognize that the visitors are very international. With 157.000 visitors and so about 32.000 more than 5 years ago in Leipzig, the Interschutz 2015 breaks all records. Our employees have beside German and English to pull out all languages they know like Spanish, French, Portuguese and more. But the communication works, if necessary with hands and feet. The fire and rescue services worldwide are a big family and understand each other despite of language barriers.
We are overwhelmed by the large crowds in our store area. Here is a real wrangling for the last rubber ducks, holster or rescue knifes. Many visitors are also excited of our exhibition articles and be happy to buy them on Saturday afternoon to a special fair price. Nearly sold out and slightly exhausted, it is end of the fair for us.
After this great success we have a cold drink and enjoy the great atmosphere at the open space. A lot of exhibitors meet there at the end of the fair and from all presented vehicles the sirens and blue lights run.
Then we pack up. All together we finished very quickly and are happy to go home.
Back in Runkel put the ideas and suggestions into practice, include new, great products in our program and answer a lot of questions. And certainly we start planning the next Interschutz.
The days were very exciting and we take many nice memories home. A warm thanks to all Interschutz visitors, thanks for your interest, for the questions and suggestions, for the great talks and the valuable feedback. We are looking forward to the Interschutz 2020!
