What is the shelf life of the dressing material in the first aid kit?
The sterile dressing materials are all labelled with a production and expiry date. We have Söhngen first aid kits in our programme. Here, the sterile dressing materials are labelled with an expiry date of 20 years. This makes the first aid kit cost-effective, as costly replacement and monitoring campaigns are minimised. Incidentally, this also applies to the car first aid kit in accordance with DIN 13164. Fortunately, the first aid kit is often not needed in the car. But the fact that you don t have to pick it up regularly often leads to expired first aid material. A 20-year shelf life for sterile materials is a clear advantage here.
Are there special first aid kits or first aid materials for children?
Yes, there are special dressing materials for kindergartens, day care centres or schools (also separately for school sports/sports lessons). The material designed for adults is often not suitable for children. For example, plasters for children in our first aid kits are sized appropriately for children and printed with cheerful motifs.
Can I also find bags with first aid material for children for excursions and hiking days?
Yes, you will find special first-aid bags with child-friendly filling that are clearly organised for trips, excursions, hiking days or hikes. Here too, the sterile first aid materials have a shelf life of 20 years.
Are refill sets available for the first aid kits?
Yes, we offer refill sets for the first aid kits according to DIN standards, such as DIN 13164, DIN 13169, DIN 14142, DIN 13155, as well as for the first aid kits for kindergarten and school.

Yes, we also have a first aid kit for dogs in our range. The first aid materials are in animal-friendly sizes and shapes. For example, it contains paw bandages, disposable razors for the coat, tick tweezers, various dressing materials and much more. There is also a small first aid bag for dogs when travelling.
