The guide line POLARIS is equipped for better visibility with fluorescent nodes made from a special plastic.

Also in the line integrated are retroreflective threads to facilitate the finding by illuminating a light. It provides an effective backup and orientation ability of the preceding teams in operations with respiratory protection in large spaces (offices, hospitals, warehouses, etc.) without significantly restricting their movement. The guide line is the basis of this system. The guide line consists of an aramid-core which is coated with the PX 700 thread. By using this thread combination, the required stability for high mechanical, chemical and thermal stresses is ensured. The anti-static and non-heat-conducting feature completes the positive image of the thread.

For optimum orientation, every 2.5 m you can find a combination of 1 and 3 nodes, on which you can feel the direction of movement even with gloves very well. For transport, the guide line is in a robust bag that can be carried by hand strap (AS-01140, not included) or hook-and-loop fastener for attachment on the fire-belt. To fix the guide line on a certain point, on both ends are carabiner available. By using the junction rings more guide ropes are combined. The procedure in large spaces is facilitated considerably. The tactile markings allow easy orientation for the teams on which guide line they are. The junction rings are made of flame resistant material and have PX 700 fluorescent nodes. These are used to identify the teams that are in the scene of fire or to identify the crosses of more guide lines in the scene.
